2010 October: Cheadle Town Plan

Residents have started receiving letters regarding the 'Cheadle Town Centre Masterplan'.

The letter indicates the masterplan aims to:

'Identify employment opportunities through the development of vacant and underused land and property; Identify the potential to increase resident and visitor expenditure and to strengthem the town's role as a service and retail hub. The Masterplan will direct the District Council's and other partners' approach to improving the town'

Consultation is from 1st Nov to 10th December and details will be available during the period in Cheadle Connect and Library Monday - Friday (9-5PM except Wednesdays 10-5PM) and and Saturdays 9-1pm.

We have no further details at the moment but would encourage Cheadle residents to look at the plans and comment. These are important issues for the community and our 'Wider Aims', for Cheadle Unite detailed above.

Notification and documentation via direct mail is clearly a step improvement from last year.
